TSC Courses 2026

Glyco‑N training courses on team building and scientific communication in Naples

On 4–6 March 2026, early-stage researchers involved in Glyco‑N took part in an intensive training initiative in Naples, Italy. The programme combined a full team building day, held jointly with the doctoral candidates of the AUREUS project, and a two-day course on scientific communication and presentation of scientific data.

The joint team building day was held on 4 March at the Centro Congressi Federico II, Via Partenope 36, Naples. Led by Dr Annalisa Corti, Personal Efficiency Specialist and business coach, the day focused on relational efficiency, trust, and collaboration through interactive sessions such as “Relational Efficiency in Action” and “Trust and Order: Navigating the Unknown Together”.

On 5–6 March, the Glyco‑N TSC3 course “Scientific communication and presentation of scientific data” took place at the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Naples Federico II. Trainer Dr Alessandra Rossi guided participants through key aspects of scientific writing, including how to structure a scientific article, the submission and revision process, and the use of AI tools in scientific writing.

The course also addressed visual and oral communication skills, with dedicated sessions on poster design and interaction, principles of oral presentations, and the use of lay language for scientific dissemination. Practical workshops allowed participants to work on their own materials, supported by hands-on exercises.

Hand-on Workshop, 10-12 November 2025, Essen (Germany)

As part of our ongoing efforts to foster collaboration and support the development of our doctoral candidates, the two-day workshop Structural N-Glycoscience: chemical/biophysical approaches toward understanding “novel N-glycans out of the blue” was successfully organized by Prof Antonio Molinaro at the University of Naples, bringing together valuable experts in the field and all enrolled doctoral students. The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for training, exchange of ideas, and team-building among the participants.

In addition, a mid-term meeting was held with the presence of the REA Project Officer Flavia Buiarelli. During this important milestone event, each doctoral student had the opportunity to introduce themselves and present their research projects. The presentations were marked by a high level of enthusiasm and engagement, showcasing the diversity and quality of the work being undertaken within the project.

These events reflect our commitment to creating a vibrant and supportive research environment, and we look forward to the continued progress of our doctoral researchers.
